I’m a wanderer at heart who loves to explore the USA! My goal is to explore all 50 states and visit all 63 of our US National Parks. I haven’t hit them all YET, but I’m working on it! I’ve traveled extensively throughout the USA, making multiple jaunts to my favorite places, and spending lots of time discovering all the nuances that make each unique.
My goal with this site is to share all the wonderful places the USA has to offer to help inspire YOU so YOU can take your awesome trips! I know how important vacations are, and how much time and effort goes into making sure everything is just perfect, and I’ll do my best to show you the best of the USA!
From tubing down obscure rivers in Nebraska to kayaking through mangroves in Ozello, Florida to wildlife tours in Yellowstone and horse drives in Montana, I’ve seen and done a LOT! I have a whole list of things I still want to see and do, as I’m sure, do you! I’ve got some great things planned to inspire you!
Travel Planner at Heart
You know how every family has the trip planner, the person that pours over maps, dives into travel magazines, and researches airports? I am THAT person! I love all the details, and enjoy planning trips almost as much as taking trips! I am the travel planner extraordinaire, and I honestly love it! I have literal decades of trip planning experience. Bring on the travel wish list and let me figure it all out. I love nothing more than to research EVERYTHING about a place and then book it!
Bring On The Budget (ish)
I don’t like to spend a lot of money traveling. Who doesn’t like the finer things in life from time to time? But having to pay for it – that’s no fun! It hurts to part with that cold, hard, cash. That’s where my finance background kicks in. I have an extensive background in the finance industry and spent more than 25 years working in the financial services arena. As a former project manager for one of the largest payment processing firms in the world, I know a few things about money and prosperity.
As a financial expert, I can’t help but plan trips and itineraries from a budget-ish point of view. This is where the PROSPEROUS portion of my site comes in: I’ll show you how to have a great time traveling the USA without spending a fortune! I love talking about credit card points and miles and how to leverage all the offers to save money – which of course, means more travel.

In addition to running this site, I’m also a freelance writer. As a college history major, I loved writing all those research papers! When I got the chance to start freelance writing, it was a natural fit. My work has been featured in many publications including Newsweek, Arizona Highways, Northwest Travel & Life, Travel Awaits, Clever Girl Finance, International Food, Wine & Travel, and many more.
